Aims of Syllabus

The Primary Mathematics Syllabus aims to enable all students to:

  • acquire mathematical concepts and skills for everyday use and continuous learning in mathematics;
  • develop thinking, reasoning, communication, application and metacognitive skills through a mathematical approach to problem-solving; and
  • build confidence and foster interest in mathematics

What is covered in this lesson?

This lesson is about Comparison of Quantity and Units, and problem sums that involve working forwards. The concepts covered are:

  • Comparison of Quantity & Units – Given Value of Units in Group
  • Comparison of Quantity & Units – Value of Units in Total
  • Work Forward to find difference in the end
