**How to solve Primary 3 heuristic problem sums involving Grouping?**

A bicycle shop has an equal number of bicycles and tricycles. The total number of wheels is 480. How many bicycles does the bicycle shop have?

**Solution.**

1 group = 2 wheels + 3 wheels = 5 wheels

Number of groups = 480 wheels ÷ 5 wheels = 96

Number of bicycles in 1 group = 1

Number of bicycles in 96 groups = 96 x 1 bicycle = 96 bicycles

**The shop has 96 bicycles.**
